MIGHTY MOVERS

 

Mighty Movers is a beginner gymnastics class designed to introduce 5-7 year old children to our sport. Children will be able to learn and experience a variety of functional movements, specifically targeted at developing body awareness, strength, flexibility, coordination, agility and balance. Throughout classes children will be exposed to challenges aimed at building resilience and confidence, whilst still having fun.

 

Might Movers gymnastics could be your child’s gateway to Olympic success in this great sport.

 

COACHING STAFF & FACILITIES   

The Mighty Movers program’s vision is to enrich lives through gymnastics. Our coaching team are passionate about child development, highly qualified and accredited by Gymnastics Australia. Therefore, our mission is to promote, develop and grow Gymnastics for the enjoyment of all.

 

The state training centre, is South Australia’s best training facility and is home to our Men’s and Women’s Gymnastics High Performance Programs. Our facility is permanent, safe and has international standard equipment. Including

a sprung floor, multiple sets of bars, rings and in ground foam pits!

 

AFTER MIGHTY MOVERS

 

Children may be invited to the one of the Junior Elite Talent Squads or otherwise be referred to one of the many local clubs in Adelaide to continue developing their gymnastics skills.

                                                                               

JETS

(Junior Elite Talent Squads)

 

Gymnastics SA identifies and develops gymnasts to the level where they are able to represent Australia at National & international competitions. Boys and girls, from all over Adelaide, identified as having a special potential in gymnastics are invited.  JETS programs are currently offered in Men’s Artistic, Women’s Artistic & Trampoline Gymnastics. Mighty Movers may be the first step towards a JETS program.

 

 

ENROLMENTS                       

Session times during public school term are:

Monday               Mixed Class – 4.00 – 5.00 pm

 

Thursdays           Girls session - 4:00pm – 5:00pm

                                                Boy’s sessions - 5:15pm – 6:15pm

 

Fridays Girls session - 4:00pm – 5:00pm

                                                Boy’s sessions - 5:15pm – 6:15pm

 

 

v  Children should remain in the group at all times

v  Children are only permitted on equipment under coach supervision and as part of class structure

v  Parents must drop their child off at the front of the Gymnastics SA main entrance

v  Parents are not permitted on the gymnastics Floor

v  Siblings may NOT play on equipment

v  NO food during the class

v  Please ensure your child has a bottle of water at every session

 

FEES                                    

 Term enrolment $160

(10 weeks) paid up front

       ·         Includes registration fee

       ·         No make ups/refund if sessions are missed

Note:  Parents must complete an enrolment form prior to their child commencing the program

 

 

What to wear?

 

Children should wear comfortable clothes that allow free movement.  No denim, hoodies or zipper jackets. No shoes - only bare feet. Leotards, tights, fitted singlets are encouraged
